The Tile Shop: Franklin, TN

Plymouth, Minn.-based The Tile Shop will open an 18,000-square-foot store on Cool Springs Boulevard, at the site of the former Circuit City.

The Nashville location, scheduled to open in February, will be The Tile Shop’s 45th store. It will also be their southernmost store, Warner said.

Carl Randazzo, general manager of The Tile Shop, called Nashville “an exciting city. It’s a growing city.”

While The Tile Shop does work with contractors, Randazzo said the focus is on that DIY market.

“I don’t think you’re going to see a lot of new construction,” he said. “I think the people that are in their homes are going to stay in their homes for awhile.”

“What they are talking about is, ‘I want to redo my entryway; I want to redo my bathroom; I want to redo my kitchen.’”

In addition to selling marble, tile and stone products, The Tile Shop also places an emphasis on how-to lessons, offering free classes every Saturday morning.

“Thats our business — we teach,” Randazzo said.
